Galatasaray Istanbul is apparently planning a surprising return campaign: The traditional Turkish club is probably showing interest in Bayern player Sacha Boey.
Munich – According to a report in the Turkish sports newspaper Fans Galatasaray would like to bring their former right-back Sacha Boey back to the Süper Lig in order to give him regular playing time there. After a difficult time in Munich – marked by several injuries, including a torn meniscus – Boey has hardly been used this season and was recently out for several weeks.
Galatasaray, who transferred Boey to Bayern in January 2024 for almost 30 million euros, sees the winter as the ideal opportunity to temporarily bring the 24-year-old full-back back. Due to the return of Josip Stanisic in the second half of the season, Boey would only be the third option in the right-back position in Munich.
Boey could get some match practice again at Galatasaray
Since his move to the Isar, Boey has had a hard time fighting for a place in the FCB team. His history of injuries continued in Munich, meaning that coach Vincent Kompany repeatedly had to resort to alternatives. During his time at Galatasaray, the physically strong right-back was considered a reliable player, but had to take time out due to injuries.

Should Bayern agree to a possible loan offer, Boey could regain his old strength in Istanbul and gain important match practice before possibly returning to Munich in the summer.
One thing is clear: there is currently a shortage in the right-back position in Munich too. If those responsible actually receive a loan offer for Boey, Bayern will probably only consider this if the planned Stanisic is fully operational again.
