As luck would have it, the Croatian tennis player, the loser, entered the draw instead of the first seed, Alex de Minor, and offered solid resistance to the boy from Senta, who at the end of the season finally recalled his best days.

Đere, currently the 141st player in the world, reached the quarterfinals of an ATP tournament for the first time in 2024, tied two quality matches and announced that, if injuries overtake him in the next season, he could regain his previous ranking (top 40).

In the battle for the semi-finals, they will play against Đere Fabijan Marožana who previously eliminated Dusan Lajović.

The first set was dominated by Laszlo over a rival ranked 36 places higher. With two breaks, in just 25 minutes he reached the advantage in the sets, but in the second part of the game he showed oscillations – to some extent expected.

In the next hour of the game, he fought on an equal footing with his rival, and when he broke in the 11th game (6:5), it seemed that he had finished the job, but… Ajduković answered in the next game, brought the match into a tie-break and made sure is for drama. He missed two set points (7:6, 8:7), so that Đere finally used the third match point and put an end to the duel.

Hamad Međedović, as well as Fernansa Serundolo with a victory against Roman Safijulin 6:4, 6:4, Christopher O'Connell, who defeated Daniel Altmajer 6:3, 6:1, and Denis Šapovalov with a triumph against Nun Boržeš 6: 6: 2, 6:4.
