the Sports Union now has an orienteering section

At the end of October, Jean-Claude Puyo, president of the Bazadaise omnisports sports union, was invited by Jonathan Mourgues to participate in the presentation of the new section of Bazadais sport: orienteering. “The purpose of this meeting is to elect the office,” explained Jonathan Mourgues.

He detailed: “In , there are 10,000 orienteering licensees and 50,000 people who practice it occasionally. In , 340 people are licensed with four clubs, not counting Bazas. The location will be different each time. In the near future, we will apply for the ''Valides Handicapés'' label and participate in various charitable actions by offering orienteering races. We will also create or participate in a “Let’s clean up nature” event. More distant projects are being studied: the creation of an orienteering school or the organization of an event in Bazas combining cultural and sporting challenges with other associations. »
