Marine Le Pen's last speech at the bar, at the trial of RN parliamentary assistants this Tuesday. The former president of the Party appeared combative, but on the defensive.
The president of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, was interviewed at length by the Paris criminal court this Tuesday, until late in the evening, in the case of the European parliamentary assistants of the National Front.
The trial began more than a month ago. He is accused of having made parliamentary assistants work in the service of the party and not European deputies… Marine Le Pen explained herself as the boss of the party. If she appears combative, behind the scenes, the serenity of the beginning has given way to discouragement.
At the helm, Marine Le Pen fumes, gets annoyed, and multiplies grand gestures. “Don’t cut me off,” the president of the court interrupts sharply. Once again, the boss of the RN tries to convince: the assistants worked for the European deputies and not for the party, she indicates.
“An assistant can very well be a graphic designer or driver” says Marine Le Pen, who denies any existence of a system of diversion centralized by and for the National Front.
The fear of ineligibility
“Since the beginning, you have relied on the same ten emails: 10 emails over 15 years,” she laments again, before lowering her tone. “Madam President, many times, I had the impression that you had already formed your opinion,” she whispers.
Feeling of partiality that Marine Le Pen also confides outside the room: “I am facing a wall”. Far from the serenity of the beginnings, with the fear of ineligibility… Before reassuring herself, like her can: “The French are not passionate about this trial”.
