Brigitte Macron visited students to raise awareness of bullying at school

ENTERTAINMENT – Students, a school, a cause and a first lady. The “Star Academy” candidates received a somewhat special visit, to the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, this Tuesday, November 5. Brigitte Macron was among them, accompanied by Justine Atlan, director of 3018, a few days before the national day against school bullying.

“Friends, I have the pleasure of introducing Brigitte Macron and Justine Atlan, who are part of the national week against bullying at school”, explained Michael Goldman, the director of the castle.

The president's wife, mobilized on this subject since 2017, spoke with the students and presented several measures to combat this scourge, announced TF1 in a press release.

Among them, the unique number, 3018, for young victims of harassment and digital violence.

Why particularly defend the cause of school bullying? “ This is the first subject that arrived on my desk when Emmanuel became president, explained Brigitte Macron to the candidates. Perhaps because I am a teacher, I have received a lot of letters from students. (…) That's how it all started. And then when I took over the presidency of the Hospital Foundation, after Madame Chirac, I absolutely also wanted to take a huge interest in the mental health of children and adolescents. I realized to what extent this harassment was a destabilizing factor. »
