Los Blancos' league match against Valencia was postponed after the province was hit by a weather storm that prevented matches from taking place.

The Madrid team has been going through a period of rest since its 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in El Clásico.

They have had a fair amount of time to reflect on that defeat and will now look to get things back on track against Milan.

While at the Champions League level, Carlo Ancelotti's team previously suffered a heavy blow against in the second round.

But they returned to winning ways against Borussia Dortmund by writing an incredible comeback.

Milan hopes to continue winning

Milan suffered a poor start to their Champions League campaign, losing their first two matches to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen.

While they beat Club Brugge, the Italian giants need to continue in the same vein if they are to book a place in the last 16.

Milan's league form wasn't great either, but they returned to winning ways against Monza.

The Italian team hopes to build on its recent victory when they face Real Madrid, the record holder for winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid's expected lineup against Milan

Carlo Ancelotti will remain without the services of Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba for this match.

While Antonio Rudiger has a knee problem, he is expected to be fully fit to participate in this match.

Real Madrid have not played since losing El Clásico, and as a result, they must start with the strongest possible lineup.

Andriy Lunin will be in goal for the hosts, while Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy are expected to be at full-backs.

The center back will include Eder Militao, along with German star Rudiger.

While Aurélien Chouamini is the Royals' preferred defensive midfield option, he could be on the bench today.

Rafael Leao, who has struggled for form recently and was left on the bench in the last match, should start this all-important match against Real Madrid.

Milan will continue to play in a 4-3-3 formation, with Mike Maignan in goal.

Emerson Royal and Theo Hernandez will be at full-backs, while Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori will play at centre-back.

Youssef Fofana will take charge in a defensive role in midfield, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijani Reynders are expected to support him.

In attack, Alvaro Morata should continue to lead the attack, Leao should play on the left flank, while Christian Pulisic should start on the right flank.
