a nice extension made official among the Bordelais

Significant extension on the side of the Union Bordeaux-Bègles. The Aquitaine club has just recorded the extension of Noel McNamara, the coach in charge of the Union Bordeaux-Bègles attack. He is now linked to the club until 2027. While he met Yannick Bru during the French coach's adventure with the Sharks in 2022, he was convinced by the latter to come with him when Bru was appointed coach of the UBB. And obviously, he absolutely does not regret this choice.

McNamara extends

In charge of the UBB attack since the summer of 2023, the Irishman reached the Top 14 final against Stade Toulousain with the rest of the staff. Second in the championship after nine days, the Bordelais are currently in great shape and are having an excellent start to the 2024/2025 season. And McNamara can boast of playing a role in this good start to the season given that UBB is among the best attacks in the elite with 304 points scored. He therefore decided to extend the pleasure with the Aquitaine club and he will continue to coach Penaud, Jalibert and even Bielle-Biarrey until 2027.
