By Karine Le Marchand's own admission, Valentin and Flavie form one of the star couples of this nineteenth season of Love is in the meadow. Favorite of the breeder of 85 cows during speed dating, the young woman full of pep had scored points during her visit to the farm. So, after taking care to ask his other suitor to leave the premises, the youngest of this edition and his girlfriend spent their first moments alone, even exchanging their first kiss.

“Life goes on”, Flavie suffering from cancer

But sad news came to ruin their beautiful budding romance. Five months later, and as many days of chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment, our colleagues at Parisian went to find Valentin's suitor, now wearing a boyish haircut. A combative young woman who never thought of ending the shoot. “Continuing the show meant that life goes on”she explains in the daily newspaper of November 5, 2024. Her life changed when last February, while she was cooing with the farmer, her doctor contacted her to tell her that the results of her biopsy were not 'were not good. “I had sarcoma (a malignant cancerous tumor that begins in the soft tissue cells of the body). I collapsed. The oncologist immediately told me that there would be chemo. I had a PET scan (a scanner), which fortunately revealed nothing more”indicated Flavie who, after the shock, accepted the fight to be fought.

After the end of her treatment, how is Flavie doing?

During this ordeal, she was able to count on the support of her darling, who was not determined to let her down. “I didn’t ask myself the question of leaving or staying. We always have tough times in life, we have to get over them. Flavie was strong”underlines the farmer, admiring the courage of his beauty. From this comes a big decision: that of moving forward the weekend with the seller's loved ones so that she can be there”filmed in shape”. A proposal accepted by production and a respite before the battle to come. Today, Flavie is not in remission “but waiting for results”. She sees the glass half full: “I'm fine! Why waste away when I'm in good shape and not too sick? Nothing changes except that I no longer have hair.”
