Neymar’s comeback for Al Hilal hasn’t gone quite as planned. Making just his second appearance since a tough ACL injury took him out for nearly a year, the Brazilian star was back on the pitch—but not for long.
Subbed in during the 58th minute of Al Hilal’s 3-0 Asian Champions League victory, Neymar’s night ended just 30 minutes later.
After stretching to reach a pass in the penalty area, he went down, clutching the back of his right leg. Fans watched in disappointment as he was subbed off again, casting doubt on the timeline for his full return.
Despite Neymar’s early exit, Al Hilal dominated, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring all three goals to secure the win and take Al Hilal to the top of the league phase standings.
This was Neymar’s second game with Al Hilal, who he joined in 2023 after leaving PSG.
His first appearance was on October 21, but his involvement with Al Hilal is limited until January due to registration restrictions in the Saudi Pro League.
