Best early Black Friday deals 2024 — here’s the sales I’d actually recommend to friends and family

The first batch of Walmart Black Friday deals will be released next Monday. Walmart Plus members will get first dibs on the deals. In addition, they’ll also get exclusive access to select Walmart deals. If you’ve been curious about Walmart Plus, but don’t want to make a large investment — right now you can get a year of Walmart Plus for just $49. It’s the same Black Friday deal we saw from Walmart last year. Nevertheless, it remains one of the best deals on its service.

I never thought I’d say this, but I love my Crocs. I was a bit skeptical about them at first, but after getting a pair this past summer I can see why people love them so much. They’re comfy, snug/secure, and pretty rugged. You can usually find them on sale any given day of the week, but right now Amazon is offering steeper than average price cuts with deals from $15. There are going to be a ton of Black Friday Apple Watch deals rolling out in the next few weeks. However, if you can’t wait — the best Apple Watch deal I’ve spotted today comes from Amazon. It has the Series 10 on sale for $355. If you can afford to wait, I totally recommend waiting. I expect this same watch to drop to at least $349 come Thanksgiving Day. That said, $355 ain’t a bad price. Just keep in mind today’s deal is for the model with the Plum Sport Loop only.

The Gym People specializes in apparel for — you guessed it — the gym! Tom’s Guide fitness editor Jane McGuire is a fan of the brand and compares the feel and performance of their apparel to some of her favorite Lululemon clothes — minus the high price tag. Right now Amazon has a sitewide sale on The Gym People apparel. The sale includes hoodies, shorts, and sweatshirts from $18.

I love my Yeti mug. It does an awesome job of keeping my coffee hot in the morning and it has a MagSafe slider that makes it impossible to spill what’s inside. Right now Amazon is slashing the price of various Yeti tumblers and mugs. Yeti coolers aren’t on sale, but it’s still a pretty sweet discount on some of our favorite Yeti drinkware.

I’m a huge Ninja appliance fan. I’ve been using one of their coffee makers every day for the past 2 years and I also own one of their Foodi XL Combo units. Both appliances are solidly built, easy to use, and have stood up well to every day use. If you need some new gadgets for your kitchen, Walmart has Ninja appliances on sale from $59. The sale includes the Ninja 12-Cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker for $59. (This is the model I use at home).

The best OLED TV deal of 2024….

Hey all! Deals editor Louis here hopping on the Tom’s Guide live blog for the next few hours. It’s November 4th and in my eyes — it’s officially Black Friday. To be honest, the holiday season technically started last month with Amazon’s fall Prime Day, but now it’s in high gear with practically every retailer offering official Black Friday deals.

For example, right now you can get the LG B4 48-inch 4K OLED TV on sale for $649. That’s the cheapest OLED TV I’ve seen all year. It’s a solid deal if you’re looking to buy your first OLED and don’t have a big budget. If you can afford it, I recommend going for the 65-inch model (currently at an all-time price low). You’ll never regret the extra screen real estate. Note: The 48-inch model is a Best Buy exclusive.

Smartwatches are great. But you don’t always want to strap a second screen to your wrist when something more discreet will do the trick. Runner-approved Hoka deals

Tom’s Guide happens to be home to a lot of runners (myself included) and if you’re lacing up in search of a new PR, you could do a lot worse than Hoka. I’ve not personally run in any Hoka shoes for a few years but I asked our fitness expert and marathon runner Nick Harris-Fry to give me some thoughts on the best Hoka discounts you can shop now.

“Hoka makes some of the best running shoes available, and the Black Friday deals this year actually include one of my favorite new shoes of 2024,” he wrote in his full round-up on Hoka deals. I’ve cherry-picked a couple of standouts for you to include here.

iPhone 16 Pro Max… for 1 cent

This insane deal is a Prime Day and Black Friday staple that’s back for another year. When you commit to a Boost Infinite plan through Amazon for 36 months, you get what would be a $1,599 iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB) for $0.01. Yep, you read that right.

Here’s the fine print: You’ll have to commit to paying $81.66/month for 36 months. That ends up being $2,939.76 to have the 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max active with Boost Mobile’s unlimited plan (netting you 30GB of premium data per month before it’s slowed down). That’s obviously more than $1,599 but it’s competitive with plans offered by both AT&T and Verizon. We’ve only just had Amazon’s October Prime Day but if you missed out on picking up some of the retailer’s own devices at a cheaper price, we’ve got good news for you.
