: The FSF confirms, it’s over between Amara Diouf and Génération Foot

The National Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has resolved the dispute between Génération Foot and Amara Diouf. And it was the footballer who won his case.

Indeed, according to information reported by Dsports, the National Dispute Resolution Chamber of the FSF decided that Amara Diouf’s contract would not end in 2028 as the Génération Foot club claimed, but at the end of this season, as requested by the player’s representatives.

In November 2014, then aged 14, Amara Diouf signed a 4-year contract with a mandatory two-year extension option during the 2023-2024 season. But the young nugget and his representatives contested this contract until 2028, brandishing article 18 of the FIFA regulations which stipulates that a player under the age of 18 cannot sign a professional contract lasting more than three years and that any clause referring to a longer duration will not be recognized.

What the FSF confirmed, therefore setting the deadline for Amara Diouf’s contract with Génération Foot at the end of this season.

While he is announced to FC when he will turn 18, the player who is now 16 years old should therefore sign freely, without his club Génération Foot collecting any transfer compensation.
