They discover human remains in their house: the previous owner had disappeared in 2009

They were looking for a water leak, they discovered a skeleton. A couple living in Erstroff (Moselle) made a macabre find in their house.

During development work, this family came across human remains in a shed. They immediately alerted the Forbach gendarmes, explains the Lorraine Republican.

Disappeared in 2009

“It was while carrying out work in the outbuilding of their house near the church square that the new owners discovered this skeleton,” mayor Jean-Claude Bohn explains to France 3.

The previous owner of this house was called Aloïs Iffly. Aged 81, he disappeared in 2009. An investigation was then carried out: interrogations, divers, technical analyses… in vain. The body found by the owners could be that of Mr.Iffly but at this time, this information remains to be confirmed.
