Florent Pagny, his daughter Aël left home at 16: “I asked to go to boarding school”

The youngest daughter of singer Florent Pagny releases her very first work, Pagny by Aëlavailable from November 6, described as “a book of unpublished photosthat of a daughter for her father”. On this occasion, the 25-year-old young woman revealed herself for the first time on in Seven to eighton TF1this Sunday, November 3, 2024. In addition to talking about his father, his illness and his book, Aël Pagny spoke about his childhood and adolescence. She thus revealed why she left the family cocoon at the age of 16. She explained simply: “I left at 16 because my brother was 3 years older than me and he went to study mechanics.

Aël Pagny revealed that she and her brother, Inca Pagny, were very close. So when she understood that he “was leaving for college, he was leaving home”, she wanted to leave too. She wanted to clarify: “I love my parents, it's not because I wanted to run away from my parents.” More “suddenly, I was the only child at home and I really didn't want that”, she explained. The 25-year-old young woman did not want to “find yourself alone”, without his brother, “without the security of telling me that there is Inca in his room, I can go see him or he comes and we can do things together”. So, she made the decision to leave home. “So I left, I asked to go to boarding school”, she assured.

How did Aël Pagny’s parents react?

Aël Pagny, who grew up in Patagonia, chose to go far away. “I had a crush on New York, I think it's the films and the fashion”, she explained. As well as being a totally different place from where she's always lived. She added: “It's far from Patagonia, it's also far from , it's somewhere in between. And I loved it.” In Seven to eightthe young woman also revealed that her parents “were a little shocked at first” and made sure it was really what she wanted. To which she replied: “It makes me love it, why not”, “and I went there”, she concluded. Aël Pagny spent five years in an art school where she studied photography.
