Announced this summer with a trailer broadcast during the Olympics, the fiction event Seul arrives this Monday, November 4, 2024 on 2. Is it worth a look? Our opinion.

Monday, November 4, at 9:05 p.m., France 2 broadcasts Alonea film carried by Samuel Le Bihan (physically transformed), co-written and directed by his accomplice and friend Pierre Isoard, with whom he films the series Alex Hugo. In this single, shot in particularly epic conditions, the actor plays the navigator Yves Parlier, during the Vendée Globe 2000-2001. Victim of a broken mast, the skipper will decide, against everyone's advice, to repair it without assistance and to finish the race at the risk of his life.

Alone : What is the fiction about with Samuel Le Bihan broadcast Monday November 4, 2024?

November 5, 2000, in Les Sables-d'Olonne, the organizers of the fourth edition of the Vendée Globe, a solo round-the-world trip without stopovers and without assistance, brought together the competitors for a last-minute meeting. One of them, Yves Parlier (Samuel Le Bihan), enters. Learning that the race risks being delayed as a major depression approaches in the Bay of Biscay, he speaks. For the sailor who already has two participations in the competition under his belt, bad weather conditions do not represent a sufficient condition to postpone the start. Back home, Isabelle (Anne Suarez), his wife, tries to calm his impatience. She remains convinced that, this time, he has every chance of finally crossing the finish line as a winner. Four days later, the skipper, aboard his boat Aquitaine Innovation, set out on the waves and immediately positioned himself as leader, closely followed by his most serious competitors, Michel Desjoyeaux and Roland Jourdain…

Alone : Should we watch the new TV film broadcast on Monday November 4, 2024? Our opinion.

You don't have to be a sailing enthusiast to appreciate this lesson in courage and determination. Transcended by the exceptional dimension of the exploit he embodies, Samuel Le Bihan carries the film with indisputable sincerity and investment, especially since the entire intensity of the film rests on his shoulders alone. Confronted with the elements and driven by the admiration he has for his character, he did not hesitate to lose ten kilos and isolate himself during filming, to capture as accurately as possible the physical and emotional developments of the role. The minimalist bias of the staging refers to situations which are repeated day after day, intensifying the precariousness and isolation which threaten the life of this hero, anchored in his desire to keep his commitments to the frontiers of possibility .
