NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have extended their congratulations to the Alpine F1 team following a successful outing at the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Their enthusiastic congratulations come on the heels of Alpine’s unexpected podium finishes, with drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly securing second and third places behind Max Verstappen’s victory at the iconic Interlagos circuit.
The Brazilian Grand Prix was chaotic from start to finish. Verstappen’s ultimate victory was sealed after overtaking Ocon on Lap 43. Despite multiple crashes and disruptions, Alpine’s drivers continued to perform, resulting in a significant podium presence that captivated many spectators and investors, including Kelce and Mahomes.
Both of the NFL stars shared messages to social media after the staggering finish from the Enstone-based squad. Kelce wrote:
“ALPINE!!! @AlpineF1Team. LFG!!!”
Adding to this excitement, Mahomes shared his congratulations with:
“Great Race!!!!! @AlpineF1Team @OconEsteban @PierreGASLY.”
Kelce and Mahomes are investors in a consortium led by Otro Capital, which expanded Alpine’s investor base with high-profile figures from various sports in October 2023. This group, managing a €200 million fund, includes not only Kelce and Mahomes but also Rory McIlroy, Anthony Joshua, and others.

Commenting after the announcement in October 2023, Kelce explained:
“I am thrilled to lead an investor group and join forces with Patrick and the team at Otro Capital on this exciting venture with Alpine F1.
“Our shared passion for excellence and innovation forms the cornerstone of this partnership.
“It’s about being able to contribute to a sport that demands precision, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of success. I am looking forward to this new chapter and can’t wait to see what we achieve together.”
Mahomes said at the time:
“I’ve always had a passion for all sports. The opportunity to lead an investor group with Travis in Alpine F1 alongside Otro Capital was one I couldn’t pass up.
“It’s an exciting time for the sport and this is an opportunity to bring our shared values to the world stage. I’m looking forward to being a part of its growth.”
The Brazilian Grand Prix was a huge boost for the French team which has been struggling to make a mark this season.
