Stefan Büsser (39) welcomed his most famous guest to date on Sunday evening: Oliver Pocher (46) visited him on the “Late Night Switzerland” show. The German comedian was welcomed by Büsser with the words: “People like you!” According to Büssi, he has never had as many negative reactions to a guest announcement as he did with Pocher.
“It’s nice that the Swiss get angry sometimes,” said the comedian. “I just polarize, I’m used to that. But that’s still better than if people don’t care – so it’s fine with me,” says Pocher. The show at Zürcher Kaufleuten was sold out and expectations were correspondingly high. It was reported in advance that Pocher’s ex Amira was also being discussed – and that was also the big topic of conversation of the evening.
Stefan Büsser teased that Olli had had a “shitty year”. “Why, my wife’s separation was in 2023 – after that it only goes uphill,” replied the 46-year-old. He has been officially divorced from Amira Aly (32) since July 2024. Büsser addressed the many headlines surrounding the marital crisis and wanted to know from Pocher whether he had done everything right. “Yes, I did,” he said dryly. He doesn’t regret anything.
Olli and Amira have children together – Stefan Büsser asked whether he sometimes felt bad about speaking so negatively about the mother of his children in public. “At a certain point you have to speak like that,” explained Oliver Pocher. “Putin and Hitler also have mothers.” A “certain dynamic” developed over the course of the divorce, which steered the initial “peaceful separation” in a different direction.
In the joint podcast with his other ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden (41), the separation from Amira is also a recurring topic. He explained to Büsser that he would find it “more fun” to discuss his marital crisis with her than with a psychologist. You know how it is – Oliver and Sandy were married from 2011 to 2014. “Things are going great with Sandy now that I’ve won all the lawsuits.”
“I imagine it would be extremely difficult for Oliver Pocher to get to know a woman now,” said Stefan Büsser. “Nothing could be easier than that,” the comedian countered confidently. But there is a danger that, as Pocher’s girlfriend, you will end up on the “Bild” front page after a few years, Büsser played the ball back. “But before that you become a millionaire, that’s not so bad,” said Pocher.
After a gag by Büssi about circumcised men, it seemed for a brief moment as if Stefan Büsser was losing control of his show and Oliver Pocher was taking over the moderation leadership – but Büssi was able to hold his ground, turn things around and give his show prestige -Exit guest. Oliver Pocher used the platform for self-promotion and to talk about his ex-wife Amira – the same thing he does in his podcast. However, the audience expected more.
