Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı made a statement after the Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe match.
Speaking about the referee performance, Ilıcalı said, “The tension in Turkish Football needs to decrease. We are all children of the same country. There should be competition with each other, but there is no point in having hostility and grudges. All my manager friends and my president agree. We want the tension to decrease and peace to come. Referring to VAR decisions, Ilıcalı said: “I am not in a position to explain the positions one by one. I said I have no faith left. What happened is a complete disgrace. There are scandalous decisions made against us and in our favor. Our young referee friend tried to manage the match, but they did not let him manage it. They said, ‘You are too young, you have no idea about operations, just stop.’ “They showed how to kill the match with the warnings from VAR. Football was killed by the referee. All the disgraces came out of VAR.” He said his words.
“TRABZONSPOR’S POSITION IS A GOAL FOR US”
Ilıcalı said that Trabzonspor’s goal was not given in the first half of the match. “The decisions made by the referee were interfered with. The hands were not seen. Trabzonspor’s position, which in our opinion was a goal, was not given. We do not want privilege, we want justice. Trabzonspor should not be defeated, but we should not be given an execution decision at half-time just because they did.
