Un beautiful sound and light show, a victory as easy as it was deserved against the Courtraisians rendered harmless by constant domination and relatively discreet anti-Vandenhaute or anti-Renard demonstrations (see elsewhere): Anderlecht experienced a much more pleasant evening than planned for Sunday at Astrid Park.

The first direct free kick in two years

Even before the hour mark, Anderlecht was already leading 3-0 thanks to two other goals… Kadri having transformed a Zanka header into an autogoal (2-0) and Stroeykens receiving a very nice collective movement imagined by Rits and Dreyer (3-0). Dolberg’s masterful free kick was the icing on the cake fifteen minutes from time (4-0). In addition to this double from the home scorer, we will point out that it was also Refaelov who was the last Anderlecht player to hit the mark with a direct free kick, on October 30, 2022 against Eupen, two years ago.
