Goal: Touré (73e sp) for the HAC

The Gasset effect makes it sputter.

Called to the rescue, Jean-Louis Gasset missed his first by losing heavily against (0-3). He will not have succeeded in his second on the MHSC bench either since the Héraultais lost in Le Havre in a meeting that should not have been lost between the two poor students of the championship (1-0). A success that does the HAC a world of good, putting an end to a nasty series of six consecutive defeats.

As in the two previous successes against and Saint-Étienne, it was Abdoulaye Touré, captain in the absence of Sanganté, who made the difference from the penalty spot (1-0, 73e). And as is often the case for Montpellier this season, it was Falaye Sacko who precipitated the fall of his team with a penalty spotted by the VAR. This same VAR which could have already offered a penalty to Le Havre in the first period on a duel between Yassine Kechta and Rabby Nzingoula (28e).

Without being transcendent, Le Havre did not steal this victory, showing itself to be more dangerous like Kechta who lost his face-to-face with Benjamin Lecomte (29e) or the strike from Rassoul Ndiaye repelled by the same Lecomte (64e). Opposite, Montpellier was discreet even if Tanguy Coulibaly did not go far from the equalizer at the end of the match (85e). It will take more to avoid going to Ligue 2.

It's time to recall Rolland Courbis.
