Viktorija Golubic saved Swiss tennis from zero points. In Jiujiang, the Zurich native won the WTA 250 category tournament organized in this city in southeastern China on Sunday. For this, she beat the Slovak Rebecca Sramkova in the final, in two sets (6-3 7-5) and 1h51 of play. This is the only title obtained this season by Swiss tennis on the main ATP and WTA.

The 2024 season which is ending will go down as one of the bleakest: no player in the top 100 (Belinda Bencic and Dominic Stricker, however, benefit from a protected ranking after a long absence, one for maternity, the other after an injury), no qualification for a Grand Slam round of 16 (a first since 1986).
