US elections 2024: Kamala Harris puts on a show on the cult Saturday Night Live show

The Democratic candidate is putting all her strength into these final days of the campaign.

This was Kamala Harris' first appearance on the satirical show. She performed a mirror sketch with actress and comedian Maya Rudolph. The Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, participated during his electoral campaign in 2015.

Earlier today, Kamala Harris traveled to North Carolinaone of the states considered decisive for the November 5 vote, for a rally during which she was joined by the singer Bon Jovi. Donald Trump was also in North Carolina, where he said he would deport millions of immigrants if elected, adding that if Kamala Harris won, “every town in America would be transformed into a squalid and dangerous refugee camp”.

Donald Trump won in North Carolina in 2020 by a narrow margin. However, a Democratic governor was elected the same day in the state, which fuels hope in both camps.

More than 72 million people have already voted early nationally, according to data from the University of Florida. Kamala Harris is credited with a lead over Donald Trump in Iowa, a state that the Republican candidate had easily won in the two previous presidential elections, according to a poll published Saturday.
