Juventus and AC Milan travel well

On the road during the 11th day of Serie A, Juventus Turin won against Udinese (0-2) after two draws in a row. AC Milan also won their away match despite the domination of Monza (0-1).

AC Milan certainly won but did not necessarily reassure on the Monza pitch. In a first act where the locals had the best opportunities against the timid and rushed Rossoneri, it took a great Mike Maignan to resist. While Monza opened the scoring in the 6th minute, but was denied for a foul at the start of the action, Maignan was heroic. Helped by his post on a strike from Maldini (29th), the French international diverted a corner shot from the Italian (24th) and a header on his line from Pereira (27th). Also imprecise on several occasions, Monza saw its opponent open the scoring against the run of play. If Okafor had stood out at the start of the match (17th) with a too soft shot, Reijnders took advantage of a header from Morata deflected by a defender to take the leather with a diving header (43, 0-1).

Juventus moves forward

AC Milan will be more dangerous in the second half with the entry of Leao. Not successful, the Portuguese will not manage to double the lead, just like Théo Hernandez on a shot repelled by the Monza goalkeeper. The Rossoneri end up obtaining a valuable victory, even if they will have to show a better face against Real Madrid in the Champions League. For its part, Thiago Motta's Juventus did the job on the Udinese pitch of a starting Thauvin. Juve will count on a very good Khephren Thuram. The Frenchman is also at the origin of the first goal. On a breakthrough into the area after a small bridge over his direct opponent, the midfielder's shot smashed the post and fell on the back of the Udinese goalkeeper. Helpless, the Nigerian goalkeeper sees the ball slip into the goal (19th). Savona will take a ball pushed back by the post to double the lead and give Juve a good lead at half-time (37th). Di Gregorio, the Old Lady's goalkeeper, will be called upon and will see his bar save him in the second half. Despite counterattacks at the end of the match, Juve ensured an important success to take 3rd place in Serie A while awaiting the Inter match.
