Code Quantum : Scott Bakula claims not to have “no link” with the reboot

Indeed, the famous interpreter of Sam Beckett declined any participation in this sequel, a decision that he detailed in an Instagram post a few days before the launch of the series in the United States, still available online. “To the attention of all fans of Code Quantum around the world, in an effort to silence rumors and move forward…”he begins, warmly thanking his loyal admirers. “Here's the simplified version of what's going on between me and the reboot of Code Quantum : I have no connection with the series, either in front of or behind the camera.” He goes on to explain that he received the script for the pilot episode, including Sam Beckett in the plot, which seemed obvious at first. “As many of you have asked me over the past few months, “How can they do Quantum Leap without Sam?” (or Al, for that matter), well, I think we're about to find out. That's the whole story.” Attached to the original project, Scott Bakula confides that his choice was not easy.

Code Quantum : Could Scott Bakula appear in a possible season 2 of the reboot?

Despite his decision not to join this new cast, Scott Bakula wanted to encourage the team and the viewers in an optimistic message: “The idea of jumping back in time and putting yourself in someone else's shoes remains a very interesting concept, especially in today's society. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this new team gets the chance to tap into the same magic that allowed Code Quantum to have such a special place in the hearts and minds of generations past and present. I wish them good luck, and happy time jumps!” This goodwill could have hinted at a possible return for season 2, but fans must stick to the obvious: Scott Bakula is not in the cast of the second volume either…
