The picture that emerges of the US election campaign from a distance is clear: it is heated, sometimes brutal, and in any case polarizing. Donald Trump accuses Haitian immigrants of eating dogs, billionaire Elon Musk is giving away millions to individual Trump voters, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris calls her opponent a fascist. Shortly before the election on November 5th, the two are almost evenly matched in polls – every vote counts.
Curious but true: Aside from the partisan divide in the country, the USA appears more united than it has been in a long time. The election campaign seems to be bringing the majority of Americans closer together. This is suggested by the results of the representative survey that we evaluated exclusively.
