Prince Andrew kicked out of Royal Lodge? Charles III would have cut off his funds

According to the “Daily Mail”, which cites the eminent biographer of Charles III Robert Hardman, the king asked the director of finances of the monarchy to no longer pay his personal allowance to Prince Andrew. A decision which should force the Duke of York to move.

The relationship between Charles III and Prince Andrew of York has reached the point of no return. The king has reportedly decided to remove the annual personal allowance paid to his little brother, estimated at around £1 million a year, and to no longer pay for his private security services – the bill for which exceeds seven figures -, according to the biographer Robert Hardman, quoted by the “Daily Mail”. “The duke is no longer a financial burden for the king,” confirms another source to the British media.

Many months ago, King Charles III had clearly expressed his wish to see Prince Andrew leave his vast 30-room mansion in Windsor, the Royal Lodge, urging him to move to Frogmore Cottage, the former home of the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke of York nevertheless signed a 75-year lease for this beautiful residence, which he occupies with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, for an annual rent of 260,000 pounds. And the couple intends to stay there for a long time to come.

However, according to the terms of the lease that Prince Andrew signed, if he does not pay for the maintenance and security of the royal residence, he will be permanently asked to leave the premises. However, these two positions represent a small fortune and the beloved son of Elizabeth II has no other source of income. He could therefore quickly find himself subject to an expulsion order. Which would complete his descent into hell!

A disgraced prince

Prince Andrew has been in disgrace since his name was linked to the affair of sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein and he was accused of sexual assault by two women. In 2022, Queen Elizabeth, on the advice of Prince William, announced the withdrawal of Andrew's military titles, his charitable roles and his predicate of Royal Highness. By cutting off his supplies, King Charles III cuts the last cord that connected him to the English royal family.
