The club addresses its subscribers regarding discriminatory chants

In recent weeks, the Parc des Princes has found itself at the center of controversy due to discriminatory chants and PSG has therefore taken the lead by sending a letter to Park subscribers.

PSG hopes to move forward on the delicate theme of homophobic songs. Against , on October 19 (4-2), discriminatory chants were started by the Collectif Ultras (CUP) against the Marseillais before the Classic won at the Vélodrome (0-3). As a direct consequence, the LFP disciplinary committee decided to partially close the Auteuil stand on the occasion of the reception of , on November 22 at the Parc des Princes.

“Insulting songs have no place within the Parc des Princes”

Before the reception in , this Saturday evening (9 p.m.), the capital club addressed itself to Parc subscribers via a letter, as reported by our colleagues from L'Equipe. “The club wishes to remind all its supporters that insulting chants have no place within the Parc des Princes. Paris Saint-Germain cannot accept this type of behavior or message,” it is stated in the address of subscribers.

Then to clarify, if necessary: ​​“Against homophobia, racism and all forms of discrimination, we form one and the same team”. Before the Sang et Or reception this Saturday, Luis Enrique also spoke at a press conference. “From the club and in personal terms, I completely condemn any type of physical or verbal violence, homophobic acts of any type. But what I see is that there are only sanctions against PSG. The stand is closed every four mornings, whereas in other clubs, we hear all types of things and I don't see any sanctions!” Still in the register of homophobic songs, the sanctions concerning those sung during the -PSG and -ASSE meetings will be known on November 6 when the LFP disciplinary committee was contacted by the National Ethics Committee in this file.
