From Michou, Joyca or even Baghera in survival mode to the story of a Thanatopratrice, a Halloween evening on social networks

We can no longer miss it. Halloween is now everywhere. In the street, on most advertising posters with promotions for “Trick or Treats!” candies, but also on where the different channels adapt their programs. There were obviously, like every year, the traditional evenings organized in the main establishments where the disguised revelers are the stars.

A real phenomenon which is celebrated by more than 76% of 18-24 year olds in according to “Observatoire Société et Consommation” published in 2023. A must-see on social networks and platforms like YouTube or Tiktok.

But this year, it was not necessarily necessary to rewatch classic horror films on Netflix, or wait until 11 p.m. to rewatch The Exorcist on this or that channel on TV, content creators also offered “immersive” content.

Joyca and her haunted mansion

It has indeed become a prosperous and lucrative time for YouTubers. In the middle of the school holidays, Halloween lets the creativity of fear and death express itself. Joyca, followed by more than 6.4 million subscribers, for example published “We must survive this night…” in which he finds himself embarking with his friends in a creepy mansion to say the least.

Shot as if it were not fiction, the video has more than 2 million views in 4 days. The fright side is a real success for the YouTuber communities. A few days ago, on the side, it was LeGrandJD, followed by nearly 4 million people on the American platform, who revealed a video in which he played at scaring himself by spending a night in the town hall of Marignane supposedly haunted. Result: more than 1 million views.

Other creators also released a special video on Halloween. Michou (more than 10 million followers on YouTube) published late in the afternoon on October 31 “Survive until dawn” in which he features himself with other streamers like Lebouseuh, Valouzz and Baghera .

Even “Aminematue”, then traveling to Japan with Inoxtag in particular, rode the wave by publishing a video 6 days ago on “A terrifying place” in the land of the rising sun.

Some are regulars in the scary field, like YouTuber EnjoyPhoenix who, followed by more than 3.68 million people, now produces formats on sordid criminal stories. The latest: “She hides bodies in soap”.

The second life of the dead… on Tiktok!

This year, Halloween could therefore be experienced from your bed or sofa by scrolling through the different channels of our favorite creators. Without obviously forgetting social networks, like Tiktok, which is also full of makeup “tutorials” to be as scary as possible. On the social network, Stéphanie Sounac tells the story behind the scenes of death. Thanatopractor, she presents her shadow profession to hundreds of thousands of people on social networks and publishes a book to make it better known.

His job consists of providing conservation care to slow down the process of decomposition of the body after death, and thus cushion the shock of its presentation to loved ones. Stéphanie Sounac (aka Thana Nanou on social networks) has nearly 300,000 subscribers on TikTok and more than 130,000 on Instagram, where she shares photos and short videos of her job.
