Five days after the draw against Auxerre, OL face Lille at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. Pierre Sage chose to align his typical team in a 4-3-3. Substitutes on the last day, Corentin Tolisso, Alexandre Lacazette and Rayan Cherki return to the eleven.
There is no urgency but an obligation to achieve results this Friday evening for OL. After being held in check by Auxerre on the last day (2-2), Pierre Sage's players blew a joker when traveling to Lille. Facing fourth in Ligue 1, the Lyonnais are passing a real test, which will say a lot about their ability to react but also their level compared to the big players in the championship with whom they intend to fight. Unsurprisingly, Sage did not rotate for this clash of the 10th day. There are several changes compared to the draw against AJA but the entrants are above all regular starters. Substitutes five days ago, Alexandre Lacazette, Corentin Tolisso and Rayan Cherki find their place in the OL eleven which is structured in 4-3-3.
In total, there are five changes but above all a typical team which presents itself against Lille in full swing. Maitland-Niles returns to the right side of the defense, while Clinton Mata, who had blown against Auxerre, starts on the bench. The Caleta-Car – Niakhaté hinge therefore continues for the second time in a row. In the middle, Matic leaves his armband to Lacazette but finds Tolisso and Veretout.
The composition of OL in Lille: Perri – Maitland-Niles, Caleta-Car, Niakhaté, Tagliafico – Tolisso, Matic, Veretout – Cherki, Lacazette, Fofana
