Technical disruption at Postfinance – no money withdrawal and e-banking

On Friday afternoon, almost nothing worked at Postfinance: several users reported problems. Among other things, e-banking was affected, card payments no longer worked and no money came out of the ATM. On Alldisorders.ch Almost 1,500 such reports have been received since around 3:00 p.m. The official Postfinance account wrote on X that not all payment methods are currently available.

«Not all Postfinance payment methods are available at the moment. The reason is a technical malfunction,” Postfinance spokesman Rinaldo Tibolla told the Keystone-SDA news agency upon request. Because the Postfinance app is currently not available, logging into e-finance (e-banking) is also not possible, it said. In addition, Twint no longer works in some cases.
“We are working on solving the problem and apologize for the inconvenience,” said Postfinance. An end to the disruption was not in sight as of late Friday afternoon.
