“A prosecution on organized crime” pour “coordinate all the activity of the courts and guarantee them sufficient resources”. This is what Sacha Houlié, non-registered MP for Vienne, asked on franceinfo on Friday November 1, where five minors were shot and injured in Poitiers on Thursday evening. A young 15-year-old teenager is still between life and death early Friday afternoon, with a serious prognosis.
The shooting broke out following a brawl against a backdrop of drug trafficking, according to Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau. “It comes from the information we have on the ground,” confirms Sacha Houlié. The minister also spoke of “400 to 600 people” participants in this brawl but “they would rather be counted in tens than in hundreds”qualified the deputy for Vienne.
The shootings took place in the Couronneries district, one of the districts “the poorest in France” more “usually quite calm”, explained Sacha Houlié. “Drug trafficking is growing everywhere,” he affirmed, defending that he “must continue to punish and prevent” drug users.
A little earlier on The parliamentarian greets “the courage of the police and gendarmes who had to face this perilous situation”. He assures that “the reinforcements” police officers, announced a little earlier by the prefecture, will arrive “this night” in order to “to ensure a return to calm and guarantee public order”.
Sacha Houlié recalls that when he was part of the presidential camp, with the former Minister of Justice Éric Dupond-Moretti, he had “prepared two texts to confront” the consequences of drug banditry. The deputy for Vienne thus explains that one of these texts aimed to create “specialized courts and prosecutors against organized crime as well as a new offense (criminal association in an organized gang)”while the other carried “on the status of repentants to break the law of silence”. “These two texts must urgently be presented by the Minister of Justice to Parliament”he pleads on the social network.
