From the supermarket museum, it's just one step away. For several days and until November 8, the Louvre Museum takes up residence in the heart of the Qwartz shopping center, through the exhibition “I live at the Louvre”. The latter results from a recent partnership signed between the shopping center Qwartzhas Villeneuve-la-Garennethe Museum and the City.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover 22 reproductions of emblematic works collections that will take them on a journey between different civilizations and eras, like the universality of the works exhibited at the Museum. The scenography, designed by the PrémicesandCo agency, is borrowed from the architecture of the Louvre to recreate a space where customers can meet famous people, such as The Mona Lisa et The Crouching Scribe.
“Louvre at home”, a twinning between the Louvre Museum and towns in Ile-de-France
This exhibition was designed and imagined with and for the inhabitants of Villeneuve-la-Garenne, as part of the “Louvre at home” project. Ce twinning between the City and the Louvre Museum, in partnership with the prefecture of the Île-de-France regionallowed nearly 6,000 residents to imagine and participate in a rich cultural program in the city, such as at the museum.
At the same time, the shopping center offers free and open-access activitieslike creative workshopsguided tours, virtual reality experiences around The Mona Lisa or even one screen printing on cards and board games. The objective, make art accessible to the greatest number.
