Minister Nicolas Daragon applauded by the RN during the debate on double punishment

The daily's Minister for Security, Nicolas Daragon, called for “regaining control” over immigration. Comments widely welcomed by the deputies of the National Rally.

All the far-right deputies applauded the minister, some even stood up to mark their approval with his speech.

The latter spoke during the RN's parliamentary niche, a session during which the party can put the legislative proposals of its choice on the agenda. The party notably presented a bill aimed at relaxing the conditions for expulsion of foreigners constituting a serious threat to public order.
