Alexander Zverev is safely into the last 16 of the Paris Masters after his victory over Tallon Griekspoor.
Zverev secured a season-best 61st win at the Vienna Open, and he has now taken that momentum into Paris.
It was an emotional tournament last time out, with Zverev saying farewell to Dominic Thiem, who has just retired from tennis.
Zverev is now the third seed at the latest Masters 1,000 event, and kicked off his tournament with a win in the second round.
The German overcame Griekspoor 7-6(7-2), 6-3 for his fourth victory over the Dutchman this season, and fifth in succession.

He is in fine company with his latest win, having become the fourth player to reach the last 16 of all nine ATP Masters 1,000 events in one season.
The world number three has already secured his spot at the ATP Finals, but another title would do his confidence the world of good ahead of Turin.
Zverev has won one of his 22 tour-level titles this season, with his aims in Paris made easier by the withdrawal of Jannik Sinner.
But overcoming Fils will not be an easy task, with the Frenchman set to receive huge support from the home crowd.
