Did Bronny James play today? Updated stats, results, highlights from Lakers vs. Kings game

After making history with his dad LeBron James early this week, Bronny James is now settling into his role as a depth players for the Lakers.

While the 20-year-old rookie is slated to head to the G League, that season doesn’t begin for another few weeks. As a result, he will have the opportunity to stay with the team through its first extended road trip that begins next week, which includes a trip to Cleveland to face his hometown Cavaliers for the first time.

Before that, the Lakers are looking to start 3-0 with a win Saturday against the Kings. Los Angeles defeated the Timberwolves on Tuesday and the Suns on Friday, and the team is set to play Sacramento on Saturday in its third straight home game to begin the year.

The Kings have played just one game this season, a 117-115 home loss to the Timberwolves on Thursday night.

So far this season, Bronny James has appeared in just one game for the Lakers, seeing three minutes of action during the first half of Los Angeles’ opening game. On Friday night, James remained on the sidelines for the entire game as the Lakers defeated the Suns, 123-116, in Los Angeles.

With the Lakers playing their first back-to-back of the season, James and the rest of the bench could see some action if either Los Angeles or Sacramento gets a double-digit lead late in the fourth quarter.
