Roma-Inter, CM’s report cards: Thuram is Ronaldo-esque, Lautaro just needs a high note. Zalewski-Celik, partners in crime|Primapagina

Roma loses 1-0 at the Olimpico against Inter. Score Lautaro with the complicity of Zalewski who first slips and then Celik who doesn’t return well. Here are the votes:

ROMA

Svilar 6 – Ready and go and is immediately called for the first miracle: Mile saves on Thuram. He is always ready in his outings, blameless for Thuram’s goal.

Literate 5 – He also makes a mistake on Lautaro’s goal. He clears it badly and the Argentine doesn’t make a mistake. Then he redeems himself and saves the 0-2 by beating Dimarco.

Mancini 6 – In these matches he always fights more than everyone else and makes few mistakes. Inter have few scoring opportunities, but Roma don’t avoid defeat
I’m sorry 6 – He is always among the best in defense for Roma. Be careful and make little mistakes. He keeps the two Inter attackers at bay who are not easy customers for anyone.

Angelino 6 – Usual match of great sacrifice for him but he fails to be dangerous in attack (from 78′ Hermoso SV)

Cristante 5 – Always a starter and always essential. He fights a lot in the middle of the pitch, but also makes a few too many mistakes which triggers some dangerous counterattacks. He is also booked and is pelted by fans when he leaves the pitch (from 78′ Le Fée SV)
Kone 6 – A real dam in the middle of the field. Manu is everywhere, but Juric takes him away once again in the second half amidst boos from the Olimpico who don’t appreciate the decision (from 53′ Pisilli 6: little can be seen in the middle of the pitch)

Zalewski 4.5 – He’s back as a starter after more than a month and knows he has Juric’s trust. Not very precise in crosses but a lot of running and often puts Darmian in difficulty. Then in the second half an error on his part gives Inter the counterattack which is lethal and scores 0-1. Exits amidst the boos (from 72′ Baldanzi SV)

Dybala 5.5 – The fans still expect to see the real Joya. He starts wide in Juric’s 4-2-3-1. At the half hour mark he had a good opportunity but was not quick to immediately shoot on goal from inside the penalty area. In the second half we see little and his match ends in the 78th minute (from 78′ Soulé SV)
Pellegrini 6 – The boos when reading the lineups have decreased and he wants to get back up after a dark moment. Sommer’s pass comes from his cross but is saved by the post. Just before the end of the first half he tries with a nice right-footed shot but Sommer responds presently. Drops in the second half.

Dovbyk 5.5 – He fights a lot in the first half but the Inter defenders don’t let him breathe much. He has two headed chances in the first half but is unable to give the ball too much force. In the second half little was served.

Juric 6 – Roma changes and deploys a 4-man defence. The Giallorossi play an orderly match for an hour then injure themselves. We need something more to win these matches. Inter remains his bête noire: only one victory in 15 games.

INTER

Sommer 6,5: Soap effect on Pellegrini’s unpretentious cross, the ball escapes awkwardly from his hands but stops on the post. Watch out for Pellegrini’s shot, which he clears laterally. At the last second he stretches out to also say no to Soulé’s shot aimed at the far post.

Pavement 6: He hasn’t put the bad moment behind him yet, his physical and mental condition is still what it is and you can see it in a couple of ill-timed interventions, but he holds his ground and this is always the first step to get out of it.

Acerbi 6: Until on the pitch he takes over Dovbyk without giving him anything. He comes out due to a flexor problem.
(From the 28th minute de Vrij 6.5: Concentrated, he enters the field with the right mentality and in no way makes Acerbi regret, maintaining the standard of performance very high).

Sticks 6.5: Dybala tramples on every patch of pitch to avoid it. He fires up his fans precisely with an attacking midfielder’s play against Joya, but in general he is always at the heart of things and is among those who spur the team on in times of difficulty.

(Dal 26’ s.t. Bisseck 6: He comes in to play on the left in place of Bastoni. Juric puts a fresh Soulé on his side but the German does very well).
Darmian 6: The performance at the Olimpico was certainly not his best, Zalewski sometimes put him in difficulty and even had to get a yellow card to stop him before entering the area. It resists.

(Dal 26’ s.t. Dumfries 6,5: He charges the diagonal after a nice progression but Svilar makes a great save and denies him the joy. He reaches the conclusion again a few minutes later, this time with assistance from Dimarco, but Svilar is a block.

Stretcher 6: After just 12 minutes of play he finds himself playing in the control room due to Calhanoglu’s injury. He plays the role in his own way, often leaving the position to go find his fortune. Inzaghi tries to discipline him from the bench, but it’s like keeping a thoroughbred on a leash. Barella wants to go.
Calhanoglu: sv

(Dal 12’ Frattesi 6.5: He maliciously uproots the ball from Zalewski’s feet and sets off with the ball at his feet, a ride in transition that overturns the front and opens up Lautaro’s goal).

Mkhitaryan 6,5: He coordinates from distance and finds a trajectory that suddenly drops, Svilar dives and is overtaken, but the ball hits the crossbar. The leg starts to turn, he sacrifices himself like a midfielder but in that head there are football manuals.

Dimarco 6: Evening without high notes, with a nice cross delivered to Dumfries and a lot of sacrifice.

Thuram 7: He lets go of the leg and hits the outside neck, strong but central shot and Svilar blocks. With a “Ronalde-esque” sprint he passes between Cristante and Ndicka, putting them both behind him, the midfielder knocks him down on the edge of the area. Massa flies over. He keeps an endless series of balls bouncing off the big Ndicka.
Lautaro 7: He suffers and makes a lot of mistakes but stays in the game and when Celik gives him half a yard with a blunder, he pounces on the ball and beats Svilar with a very violent right-footed shot. His goals are like air: he is Inter’s best foreign scorer in all competitions, equaling Stefano Nyers on 133 goals.

(Dal 27’ s.t. Correa 5,5: Inzaghi prefers him to Taremi hoping for some ideas on the counterattack. And nothing, he’s still hoping).

S. Inzaghi 7: The match immediately gets uphill with the injuries of Calhanoglu and Acerbi, but the team does not fall apart and shows that it knows how to suffer. Inter went back to not conceding a goal in the most difficult moment of the season, a huge sign of maturity.
