Cyborg wins title; Problem is knocked out by Ngannou

One of the greatest fighters of all time, Cristiane Justina made history once again. This Saturday (19), for the ‘co-main event’ of the PFL mega event in Saudi Arabia, the Curitiba native Cris ‘Cyborg’ defeated compatriot Larissa Pacheco, in a unanimous decision by the judges, and won the inaugural featherweight ‘superfight’ belt (66 kg) of the Professional Fighters League. In the main attraction of the show, Renan ‘Problema’ from Goiás ended up being knocked out by former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, in a fight for the heavyweight belt.

This Saturday’s achievement further expands Cyborg’s enormous legacy – the first and only fighter to win titles in five major organizations. Now, the Curitiba native has the UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, Invicta FC and PFL belts in her trophy cabinet, always in the featherweight category.

In turn, Larissa Pacheco suffered her first defeat since 2019. During her long period of unbeaten streak, the fighter from Pará won two PFL titles: in the lightweight (70 kg) tournaments, in 2022, and featherweight, in 2023.
