audiences: “Captain Marleau” in the lead, “The Master of the Game” down sharply

Marleau or nothing. Friday, 2 placed itself well ahead of the evening’s audiences with a rebroadcast of its detective series carried by Corinne Masiero and her chapka. Called “The Price to Pay”, this episode scheduled for the first time in December 2022 welcomed Catherine Frot, Jean-François Balmer, Valérie Donzelli, Bruno Todeschini, Emmanuel Salinger and even Bernard Montiel.

3.75 million fans of the series created by Josée Dayan were on board on average until 10:50 p.m., according to Médiamétrie. With a 21.5% market share (PDA) for the entire public aged 4 and over and only 7.8% for the strategic target of women responsible for purchases under 50 (FRDA-50), this which proves once again that France Télévisions’ detective series attract a rather older audience.

A more complicated evening for TF 1 which offered the sequel to “Master of the Game”, its new entertainment presented by Laurent Ruquier. 2.12 million viewers watched on average the two parts of the show, or 13.9% market share of the entire public. La Une will console itself by noting that it is in the lead in the FRDA-50 (23.2% PDA), which is essential for its advertising revenue. But it is down very significantly compared to last week since it lost nearly 500,000 viewers compared to the launch of its new product (which attracted 2.57 million curious people or 16.9% of the overall public and 33% of PDA).

France 3 follows with “Éternel Aznavour, the concert event”, a unique evening around Grand Charles while “Monsieur Aznavour”, a biopic directed by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade, is released next Wednesday in cinemas. Narrated by Katia Aznavour, her daughter, the evening punctuated by covers by Eddy de Pretto, Santa, Thomas Dutronc, Calogero, Amir, Pierre Garnier, Patrick Fiori, Bénabar, Mentissa, Raphaël, Jérémy Frérot, Aliocha Schneider, Ben Mazué, Rim- K and Joseph Kamel attracted 1.62 million music lovers, or 9.9% of the public (and only 1.4% of the FRDA-50).

M 6 is at the foot of the podium with a new number of “Nightmare in the kitchen”. 1.47 million people watched Philippe Etchebest save a restaurant in Thoissey in Ain, or 8.7% of the public (and 16.2% of the FRDA-50). Arte is doing well and ahead of France 5, C8 and Gulli (all three above the 500,000 viewers mark) with “Disparue”. This German film in rebroadcast captivated 912,000 people (5.2%).
