Parisian players almost pulled off the perfect heist in the Euroleague

Two days after picking up the first victory in its history in the Euroleague (84-80) at the expense of the Greeks of Panathinaikos Athens, reigning champion ended up losing to the Germans Bayern Munich (109-107) after having the ball of success in the last seconds.

The Ile-de- residents, manhandled for nearly 25 minutes (66-56), almost turned the situation around in a completely crazy end to the game: thanks to two consecutive winning shots, Tyson Ward (106-104 13 seconds from the buzzer) then Nadir Hifi (108-107 at 12”) maintained hope, before the Bavarians lost the ball on the throw-in. But TJ Shorts (22 points, 9 assists), with 7” to play, did not did not manage to conclude his race victoriously, being blocked in the racket when he could perhaps have displaced an unmarked partner.

In addition to this last action, the visitors may regret too lax defense, in particular on Shabazz Napier (27 pts, 6 out of 10 from three points) and Carsten Edwards (32 pts, 6/8 from long distance).
