It was on the territory of the commune of Semoise-sur-Loire that Lina’s body was discovered on Wednesday October 16, according to information from France Télévisions this Thursday morning. This rural commune is neighboring Nevers, located on the south bank of the Loire.
The day before, the acting prosecutor of Strasbourg indicated that the body of the teenager had been found “in a wooded and isolated area of the Nevers region”, “immersed in a stream located below an embankment”. According to information from France Télévisions, the discovery was made during a new research campaign carried out by the gendarmerie.
Genetic analyzes carried out urgently by the Criminal Research Institute of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN) “made it possible to confirm that it is Lina’s body”. Forensic assessments will be ordered to investigate the causes of death.
