For many years, Vincent Dedienne has acknowledged his attraction to men. It’s even a subject that he regularly discusses on stage, and the theater has helped him to be himself. “I was 17 years old and had just passed my baccalaureate when I realized that I liked boys. I had the chance to do theater in high school then a school to be an actor. I met some attentive, sensitive and open people who teach us to know ourselves and define ourselves. This helped me enormously.he confided to Parisian on May 2023.

As he told our colleagues, he even had a somewhat special coming out. “I come from a somewhat secretive and mysterious family. My parents learned of my homosexuality during one of my shows in front of 400 people. I explained in a sketch that I had just been dumped by a Florent! In an interview given to Madame Figaro in August 2024, Vincent Dedienne spoke about his relationship with his ex-companion. “I really place my first love at 20 years old, with Florent. He became a director, and as our story ended very badly, we remained angry for eight years. My grief lasted longer than the relationship itself: love seemed to me like a scam.”he revealed. He finally buried the hatchet with his ex, after playing his show at the Olympia. Since then, the comedian has started his life again with another man.

Fulfilled professionally, Vincent Dedienne also seems very happy in his private life. In an interview for La Tribune Sundaythe comedian made some revelations about his love life. “I was embarrassed by my body, my desire and my homosexuality. I remained single for a very long time”he confided. Since then, he feels much better about himself and has found love. “I have been in a relationship for six years, and very happy, that’s my record”he added, without however revealing the identity of his companion.

In another interview with Liberationhe assured that his companion “is in the business”like him. It is then a way for the actor to share his passion for theater with the latter, believing that “living with someone who shares this taste makes things easier”. If he wouldn’t see himself having a romantic relationship with a man who doesn’t like theater, fortunately he seems to have found the right match for him.
