“The players didn’t know me at all”: Gérard Lanvin recounts the screening of the film “4 zeros” at Clairefontaine (VIDEO)

The actor Gérard Lanvin was Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine’s guest in “It’s yours” on 5 this evening to present “4 Zeros“, the new film by Fabien Onteniente. This comedy is the sequel to “3 Zeros”.

A special screening at Clairefontaine

It’s an unusual experience that Gérard Lanvin and the film team went through.”4 Zeros” on October 9. Invited to the Clairefontaine training center, they had the opportunity to present their film to the players of the French football team. A meeting which visibly marked the actor, as he confided on the set of “C à vous”.

“These young footballers, they took me for someone else because they don’t know me at all, guys,” joked Gérard Lanvin. An anecdote which says a lot about the generational gap, but which did not prevent the screening from being a great success. According to the director Fabien Onteniente, present that evening, “It was a triumph, a success, they loved it.”

Didier Deschamps, an unsuspected “laugher”

Among the highlights of this evening, Gérard Lanvin particularly appreciated his meeting with Didier Deschamps. The actor was full of praise for the Blues coach: “I was very happy to be able to meet Didier Deschamps. I could never have met Didier Deschamps in principle. He’s an incredible guy. He’s a laugher.”

Gérard Lanvin wanted to highlight a little-known side of the coach: “We always see him a little stressed because we question him before or after a match. He has to talk about his job. But when he talks about something else, he bursts out laughing”. A revelation which indeed contrasts with Deschamps’ often serious public image.

A film that resonates with the world of football

“4 Zeros” seems to have found a particular resonance with the players of the France team. Fabien Onteniente explains: “IThere are quite a few parts of the film that concern the players. They laughed about stuff they knew, especially anything related to the agent world.”

The feature film, which will be released in theaters on October 23, depicts the rise of a young football talent. There are also familiar faces from football, such as Paul Pogba, David Ginola, and Guy Roux and Presnel Kimpembe. Young internationals Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola even make an appearance, which did not fail to provoke some upset from their teammates during the screening.

Shy’m, also starring in the film, shared his enthusiasm on Instagram: “The film made our French team laugh and I made Didier Deschamps laugh. Satisfactory assessment.”
