Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron organize a majestic state dinner for Philippe and Mathilde of Belgium

A surprise guest slipped into the list of guests at the state dinner given at the Élysée in honor of King Philippe and Mathilde of Belgium, traveling to for 3 days, Monday October 14. Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron had invited Prince Gabriel of Belgium, the eldest son of the royal couple. A first for the 21-year-old young man, currently on training at the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan military academy.

Prince Gabriel thus found himself surrounded by several members of the French government, numerous journalists and elite chefs, including Stéphane Bern, a handful of business leaders, including Bernard Arnault, but also the Belgian winner of Top Chef Mallory Gabsi and the former Miss Belgium Tatiana Silva. So many personalities who competed in elegance and good taste to appear at this reception.

A three-day trip

King Philippe and Mathilde of Belgium arrived in France on Monday October 14 for a three-day visit. After exploring at the start of the week, on Wednesday, the state visit will conclude with a visit to the Château de Chantilly and the exhibition dedicated to Louise Marie d’Orléans, a French princess who became the first queen of the Belgians by marrying Leopold I . The royal couple will then travel to and finally return to Belgium in the evening.
