Mondial De 2024 : Renault Embleme Concept

Renault is firing on all cylinders at the 2024 Motor Show! Alongside the new Renault 4, the brand is announcing its possible future design for the end of the 2020 decade with the Emblème study, a prototype with the most ecological and sustainable approach possible.

In three years since the Scénic Vision study, the style instilled by Gilles Vidal’s team has managed to be established and deployed across the Renault range. With the Emblème study, the diamond brand and its stylists are preparing for the future and announcing the future range, its inspirations and its strong lines.

With, moreover, the announcement of a carbon-free future since this sedan study is hydrogen-powered and designed to be as sustainable as possible, to emit 90% less CO2 emissions from its manufacture until its end of life than a current model.

The Renault Embleme, a concept to reinvent stylistic codes

But the main sensation of this Embleme study is to succeed in rethinking the formal language. Much more roundness and a completely new animation of the diamond as well as light signatures are presented. The whole thing takes the form of a high sedan 4.80 m long.

Designed on the new AmpR Medium platform, the Embleme announces a weight of only 1750 kg, to position itself as a low alternative to the Rafale. Note the rims, almost full to reduce aerodynamic drag, because this Embleme does not rely on enormous power: only 160 kW, or barely more than 215 hp and a 40 kWh battery.

To obtain 1,000 km of autonomy, you must go through a hydrogen range extender, via a fuel cell with 30 kW of power. Everything is powered by a 2.8 kg hydrogen tank.

Clever, this study confirms that Renault is continuing its research on hydrogen, without being able to offer a dated future in series.
