Investigation games are popular on French television. So much so that after the last season of Traitors on M6, won by Laurent Ruquier and his companion Hugo Manos, two games of the same genre were launched this Friday, October 11: The Werewolves on Canal + and Le Game Master on TF1. While the first takes up the well-known principle of the board game created by Philippe des Pallières and Hervé Marly, the second is a new concept presented by Laurent Ruquier. In this one, twelve personalities (Valérie Damidot, Arnaud Ducret and his wife Claire Francisci, Francis Perrin, Elsa Bois, Sara Mortensen, Chantal Ladesou, Jeanfi Janssens, Max Boublil, Cartman, Kody, and Frédéric Diefenthal) were invited at the Château de Groussay, located in Montfort L’Amaury, in Yvelines. Their goal? Find out who invited them! To do this, the candidates started the game with a first indication: the personality to be unmasked is among the 100 stars whose faces have been plastered on the game wall. Among them, we find in particular the singer Amel Bent, the DJ David Guetta, the actor Jean Reno and even the football star Zinédine Zidane! But who is really behind the game master? The game master : what clues did the candidates discover?
To unmask the master of the game, the candidates must carry out the investigation and are facing challenges which allow them to win clues. In the very first episode broadcast this Friday, they discovered two films full of instructions. After the first one aired, they came up with the following clues: “JT”, “1970s”, “Failure”, “Woman”, “Music” et “Chameleon“. Only of them are admissible: it is about “JT” et “Chameleon”. After watching the second film, they managed to validate four additional clues: “Diving”, “I Will Survive”, “Tulips” et “Ballroom dancing”. Furthermore, the game master himself revealed that he had “over 40 years old” and that “no one can measure up to him“.

Because of these last two clues, many immediately thought of Eric Antoine on social networks, the latter being known for his tall height with his 2.07 meters. A prediction quickly put aside since the famous magician revealed by Incredible Talent does not appear in the wall of 100 personalities. On the other hand, there is another star who could meet all these criteria: the host of Koh Lanta Denis Brogniart! Beyond being very tall and aged 57, he is a journalist (“JT”) and regularly presents special programs during the World Cups and Euro football, which could correspond to the clue I will survive.
