UAn armored cash transport van was attacked on the morning of Thursday October 10 in the center of Grenoble, the Isère prefecture said. The attack took place after 10 a.m. at an intersection in the city center, the prefecture said on the X network. “There were two minor injuries linked to road accidents caused by the event and by fragments glass,” added the Grenoble prosecutor in a message to the press.
According to a police source, cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP), “at least two vehicles” blocked the armored van. An exchange of gunfire took place between the cash couriers and the attackers. The latter fled.
According to the Grenoble public prosecutor, who arrived on the scene and was cited by The Dauphiné liberatedthe cash conveyors are unscathed. Criminals are actively sought and authorities are calling for people to avoid the city center
