“I can’t wait to hate the PFC” – 100% PSG, the ticket

Are we going to have a second major club in ? The takeover of Paris FC by the Arnault family and the Redbull group suggests that the capital could welcome a second big football club. I can’t wait for rivalry to arise!

A buyout that seems ambitious, we’re not going to lie.

For what ? Because the Paris FC which is a club of Ligue 2in the second division, has seen its ambitions rise recently. He’s been at the top of the table for several seasons now. Ligue 2accession barriers in Ligue 1 sometimes and this summer there was an ambitious transfer window with a clear objective: the rise to the elite. For the moment it’s working, the PFC is 1st in Ligue 2.

And there it can be quite an incredible upheaval. Yes next year we could have two clubs Paris in Ligue 1.

And this redemption of Paris FC by the Arnault family and the group Redbull takes on more meaning.

A second big club in Paris?

So we’re going to wait for big ones, but we already have two clubs Paris in the first division it would rectify a very French specificity.

In Europe it’s something common: there are two clubs Rome who are in the elite, two big clubs to Madrid (the Real et Atletico), has London I’m not even talking about it this season there are 6 out of the 20 clubs Premier League who come from the English capital…

But in it doesn’t exist, it’s a new situation and therefore perhaps a new rivalry to Paris

Well then how is the rivalry with the supporters of the PSG ? Well, that’s not actually happening…

So the oldest of the oldest supporters remember that the PSG comes at the basis of a fusion of PFC with the Saint-Germanois Stadiummerger which then became separation because already at the time (hold on) of a disagreement with Paris town hall around the Parc des Princes (it’s crazy irony sometimes).

But there was never a real rivalry.

Already because the population is a fan of Paris FC it’s very minimal. So it’s difficult to consider this fan base to the point of making it a rivalry.

Then because there have only been two small confrontations in history, it was in the championship in 1978.

Twice draws: 2-2 in Paris and 1-1… well in Paris Also.

To have a rivalry you need animosity, to have animosity you need shocks either of cultures, or local, or sporting competition.

Well, the culture of PFC we don’t really know what that means, it’s not a club that has a strong identity. Same for the local, we don’t know which part of Paris corresponds to PFChistorically it is towards Porte de but the stadium is Charlety in the 13th and the training center is in .

And then sporting competition doesn’t exist, the two clubs are not in the same league…

But maybe that’s where things can get worse. On the sportsman there is perhaps something to look for for the Paris FC.

Can’t wait to hate them

I would really like a Parisian rivalry. It would be different from what we have…

So don’t worry, I love to hate , I love to hate some of our European rivals, to the rhythm of direct confrontations and stories… but a local rivalry would add a little sporting spice to the city of Paris which, I think, needs it.

And this takeover of the PFC gives the impression of realistic ambition. Because with family Arnault we have a significant financial windfall and with the group Redbull expertise in sports management with football clubs Leipzigof Salzburgthe stable of Formula 1…

Moreover, the Redbull group formalized yesterday the arrival as the new boss of football: Jurgen Kloppthe former coach of Liverpoolconsidered one of the best in the world.

So there is enough to create an ambitious project which would first tickle the other elite clubs before trying to reach us.

So there’s work to get to our level but I really want to see this process.

So gentlemen of Paris FC, come and try to take our place even if you probably won’t succeed, I hope you are good so that I can hate you too.
