The RATP program for Heritage Days 2024 – MAISON DE LA RATP – , 75012

The European Heritage Days represent a unique opportunity for the RATP to introduce the general public to the richness of its activities; each year the transport authority offers numerous activities and visits.

On September 21 and 22, you will be able to go behind the scenes of the RATP to better understand the daily functioning of a transport network and its evolution. The program consists of around ten events each year in and Île-de-, the great classics acclaimed each year and new releases! New, surprising visits, places open to the public for the first time for the JEP, a big treasure hunt… the RATP offers, every year on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, to all lovers of heritage and unusual experiences a ambitious program.

Behind the scenes of the cinema station
Everyone has seen it on the big screen but no one has used it since 1939: the Porte des Lilas station is closed to the public but popular with directors who use it to infuse their films with the atmosphere of the Paris metro. Every day, thousands of travelers pass through the Porte des Lilas station without realizing that behind a gray door hides another station, a real cinema set where an average of 5 films are filmed per year.

The Flanders bus center, a historic bus center, which has just completed its transformation to accommodate a more ecological bus fleet, will open its doors for a guided tour lasting around forty minutes.

The RATP will open the doors to its archives located in a disused tunnel under the gardens of the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. You will be able to discover precious documents (maps, metro tickets, posters, photographs, etc.) that bear witness to the history of Ile-de-France transport.

Registrations for the visits will be offered on Tuesday September 10 and 17 at 12 p.m. Registration via the RATP website: www.ratp.fr/jep.

Each year the reservation slots fill up within a few hours. The RATP therefore offers two different reservation days to give everyone a better chance of booking.

Activity times:
09/21 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
09/22 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
