There is great misunderstanding in Greece. No one can yet explain the disappearance of George Baldock, active in Panathinaikos.
The news revealed by the ANA press agency spread quickly: Panathinakos player George Baldock was found dead yesterday evening, in his property in Glyfada, near Athens. He was 31 years old.
The circumstances of the tragedy are also disturbing: the defender’s lifeless body was found in his swimming pool. At the time of writing, the cause of death has not yet been communicated.

Born in Buckingham in March 1993, George Baldock was trained at MK Dons before joining Sheffield United in 2017. He would play no fewer than 219 games for the Blades, including 83 in the Premier League.
Of Hellenic origin, he joined the Greek national team two years ago. Eager to reconnect with his roots, he also joined Panthinaikos just a few weeks ago.
