WEATHER REPORT. Storm Kirk: risk of “strong and exceptional” flooding: Seine-et-Marne remains on red alert, six departments in Orange, what to expect this Thursday?

According to Météo France, the worst of Storm Kirk which swept across France on Wednesday October 9 has passed. However, the weather police are keeping Seine-et-Marne on red alert this Thursday, October 10, 2024 as well as six departments on Orange flood alert.

Seine-et-Marne under close surveillance

A risk of “strong to exceptional” flooding on the Grand Morin river, a sub-tributary of the Seine, justified the placement of Seine-et-Marne on red alert, according to Vigicrues. School transport is suspended this Thursday in the department.

67,000 homes without electricity
