Richard Gasquet will retire in 2025 after Roland-Garros

Richard Gasquet will retire after Roland-Garros 2025, according to an interview with the tennis player, this Thursday, October 10.

Richard Gasquet announced that he would retire for 22 years after Roland-Garros, in May 2025. The tennis player announced this to our colleagues at L’Equipe in an interview published this Thursday, October 10.

“I think it’s the best time for me to do it, he explains. It’s the best tournament to do it. It’s magnificent, we’re lucky being French to be able to stop in this kind of amazing places.”

Winner of 16 tournaments, all in the ATP 250, Gasquet will have spent almost 19 years in a row in the top 100 (956 consecutive weeks). The 38-year-old from Biterois also reached the final four of Wimbledon in 2007 and 2015, as well as that of the US Open in 2013.
